JAMES ROOT's SLIPKNOT Jacket To Be Auctioned Off For Charity
July 22, 2004Dirtbag Clothing recently made a small run of tour jackets for the members of SLIPKNOT and their crew. The jacket that was intended for SLIPKNOT guitarist James Root can now be yours. James personally signed it, and in honor Chris Ackerman of the Metal Mulisha, the jacket is being auctioned away. For more information, go to this eBayauction page. All proceeds will be donated directly to assist in the recovery of Chris Ackerman. Ackerman, former General Manager of the Metal Mulisha, suffered life-threatening injuries while riding in the Dunes of Dumont on March 17, 2003. Immediately after emergency crews reached the accident site and were able to stabilize Chris' condition, he was escorted to nearby Baker via ambulance. A waiting military Black Hawk helicopter then delivered Chris to Loma Linda University Hospital where it was confirmed that he had sustained very serious injuries, including the breaking of the C2 in his neck, collapsed lungs, various stresses to the spinal cord and the breaking of his pelvis.
